An unsupported program or application is an application that Williams Printing & Office Supply does NOT use as an industry standard for PrePress and Printing/Publishing.. Some UNSUPPORTED programs we keep onsite but the designers do not keep up to date on training and operation of these programs so if a file is brought in one of these unsupported formats it could take more time or cause unforeseen problems in the PrePress process of producing your job. Even though some of the unsupported programs are very common, some were not design by the programmers with commercial printing in mind (such as Microsoft Power Point) so the way some of these programs handle graphics and text can also cause quality issues in the final product when trying to send these files to our machines that create our negatives/plates. If you do not have a good understanding of PrePress/Layout & Design or the Printing Process on a whole, it is recommended to let one of our trained expert designers layout your job for you in an application that is considered an Industry standard. This in the long run will save you money and time and you will get better results in your final project.
