Binding
is the process where sheets of paper are put together to make
a "book" or manual. There are many different types
of binding that we can do.
Saddle
Stitching is when larger
sheets of paper are folded in half and stapled at the spine
(Example: comic books are saddle
stitched usually)
Perfect
Binding is when the
sheets are cut and glued together at the spine. (Example:
Paperback books)
Spiral
Binding is when a plastic
coil is wound through the spine. This is the perfect choice
for manuals or other types of books that need to remain open
to a page when someone is not holding the book. (Example:
Spiral Notebooks used in school are metal spiral bound)
GBC
Binding is a lot like Spiral Binding but is a cheaper
form. This is used mainly for presentation books or reference
guides. |
