| Most
common digital cameras have three settings for RESOLUTION.
Depending on your model, will depend on the maximum resolution
a picture can be taken at. Most common cameras have three settings
and are usually referred to as BASIC, NORMAL,
and FINE. Basic being low resolution, normal
being medium resolution and Fine being hi-resolution. The easiest
way to tell is the fewer the pictures that can fit on the camera
per setting the higher the resolution. Ex: Basic might let you
take 72 pictures where as Fine might let you take 3 before your
camera is full (this varies depending on model of camera and
size of media in camera). For most printing purposes you want
the highest resolution for your pictures. The maximum actual
size of the picture would still depend on the final resolution
of the photo if it has to be enlarged. For large pictures or
Large Format Digital Prints it is recommended to take a photo
using a regular camera. Then bring in the developed photograph
so that we can scan it at a higher resolution to achieve a larger
size print. |
